>> Senin, 05 Desember 2011

Artis Zoo, established in 1838, is the oldest zoo in Europe.
You can see more than 700 species of animals here, a few of which are fed daily at alloted times. The public is able to watch and maybe you'll even get the opportunity to throw a fish or two at the sea lions or penguins.

The zoo has many buildings, listed as historic monuments. The park is also a beautiful setting for local and exotic trees and plants.

As well as the animals, the zoo also has several museum buildings with educational facilities. There is much to learn about our planet earth.

You can enjoy widescreen productions in the Planetarium taking you through our solar system and the cosmos.
The Zoological Museum features exhibitions, displaying many historical objects about man and nature.
If you would like to learn more about the history of life and the earth, you can visit the Geological Museum, where many fossils and minerals are on display.
